“Deb, you were a great help to me in organizing my main floor closet and pantry. Not only did you have great ideas about how to organize items for ease of access, but you also tactfully helped me get rid of what was NOT needed and was merely clutter. The closet and pantry look great now and I am enjoying seeing and finding what I want more easily!”

Deb Mantel loves dark chocolate, music, reading, hanging with family and friends…and organizing anything! She's had an eye for order since she was young. She can walk into a room filled with nothing but chaos and see potential beauty, order and peace. She has seen the freedom and renewed energy that come from getting one's things in order—clearing out the unnecessary, unimportant, unflattering stuff to make room for what renews, restores, and refocuses. But it's not just the organizing that she loves, it's the relationships she builds with the women she works with.
She has a lot of experience with major life changes like moving and grieving. She also knows the challenges of maintaining a home (and one's sanity) while home-schooling and running a home-based business. Though her home-schooling season is behind her, she has a very clear memory of the days when her time and her space were barely her own.
Deb began helping friends organize themselves while a college student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She majored in Communications and spent her first few years after graduation working her organizational magic at the University of Michigan Medical School. Then she worked as an editorial assistant for a local publishing company. Since then she has raised three sons (her youngest is still at home), run several home-based businesses, and recorded a music CD. She also helped start a monthly girls’ night out at her church. Soon to begin its fourth year, it's an example of Deb's desire to build relationships, teach, and have a relaxing and fun time with girlfriends.
A teacher and communicator at heart, Deb is very gifted at imparting helpful information and transferring important skills to others. Her friends and clients consider her very personable, funny, and fun to be with. Growing up with only brothers and boy cousins, and now having three sons, her life is often immersed in all-things male, so she will use anything as an excuse for spending time with women—whether it's a girls’ night out for decadent chocolate cake or a day organizing anything and everything!
